Eating a few things I shouldn't..

So, today I've eaten a few thing I probably shouldn't have....
I've snaffled a few sunflower seeds from the bird table - I couldn't resist.
Then I had a bit of a chew on an eraser that I found on the edge of the table. Half way through I realised it tasted pretty horrid but the bits I left on the floor gave me away.
I've been told off.
I'm having a bit of a sulk and I've got a bit of a tummy ache but I'm not letting on.

Please...

I'm finding that I'm having to work a little harder on my pleading face. It's an art really - pleading without being a nuisance (which sometimes leads to me being sent to my bed). You have to look just irresistible enough that they can't say no.

 This was tonight's attempt...

Finding this didn't work, I put my nose a bit closer..

Too much?

#snowday

So, today has been GREAT.
In my corner of the UK we have had snow.

No1 - I love snow - it's so fluffy! (That is a quote from one of my favourite films).
No2 - Everyone came out for a long walk.
No3 - I had my first proper snowball fight - they threw snowballs at me and I ran at them full pelt..seems fair
No4 - On my return, I had leftovers from Sunday lunch. Result.

Today has been a good day :)

Here are some photos of me enjoying myself...

This is me trying to avoid a direct hit

Do I have something on my nose?

Dirty Dog

Today has been a good day. All started off well as far as my folks were concerned. Off we went for our walk as usual and I think I was looking pretty smart..

I did lots of smiling and running at full pelt..

I happened across a particularly satisfying area of orchard that turned out also to be a teensy bit muddy..

If I close my eyes they can't see me either

I'm going to get a bath aren't I?

They've taken down the Christmas tree!

I was really getting to like the Christmas tree. I was a little worried at first and it took a while to get used to. I was also a bit put out that they put it near where my bed goes but I even got used to laying by it. Then they go and take it out again.

What's that all about then?

I like Christmas

So - Christmas is great fun. Lots of extra things to eat. Everyone's in a great mood - 2 bin raids yesterday and I got away with both. Result.

I got given a Christmas present which I thoroughly enjoyed opening and then today I got taken our for a long walk through the orchards, found a muddy puddle and raced around a lot.

Now for a welcome little snooze..

Tail Trouble

So, today I have mostly been knocking things over with my tail...

I'm in a spot of trouble and keeping a low profile. My wagging tail, which by the way I have no control over, has knocked something over. Namely a cup of tea. A full cup of tea.

C'mon, how could you be cross with this face?

On the beach..

Now I love a run on the beach as much as any dog but today was not a beach day.

Why the usually sensible people pack thought it would be a treat today of all days, beats me. I awoke this morning to heavy rain after being kept awake half the night by the wind howling and the rain hammering on the front door. Oscar and Charlie snuggled up close and I honestly don't think they heard a thing. By morning the bags under my eyes were a shock to behold.

I snuggled deeper into my bed at first light and was gratified when everyone had decided that this morning, it was perhaps better to stay in bed a little longer. I was not at all happy later on when it was clear that despite the dreadful weather, they were still expecting me to go outside. I know there's an expectation that labradors love all weathers and are just as happy in the rain as the sunshine. This lab is not. This lab has a distinct dislike of rainy days and would rather view them from inside looking out.

My expression in this photo says it all...

Enough said, back to bed.

Charlie Cat

So I feel that it's time to introduce you to my best friends. Today I'm going to tell you a little bit about Charlie.

This is Charlie Cat.

He's about 15 years old and enjoys snoozing and food. I think sharing the same interests is why we get on so well. I'm slightly envious of him as a few years ago he was a guest on Blue Peter (where they called him Cheeky Charlie) and got stroked by Matt Baker.

Sometimes we play together. If I get a bit clumsy, he'll tell me off. Even though he's a lot smaller than me, he can give me quite a wallop.

His favourite treat is a bit of cheddar but like myself, he wouldn't say no to any food being offered.

He has many favourite places to lay during the day..including the back of the sofa.

He gets to lay on the bed upstairs where I'm not allowed to go. To be honest, he often lays in the middle of my bed and as I don't want to step on him, I have to lay on the floor until he gets moved over. I'm beginning to think he does it on purpose..

But best of all we enjoy cuddling up together.

Next time I'll tell you all about Oscar, my other bestie.

Must go, I can hear the fridge being opened....you never know your luck...

Swimming

Today I have mostly been......

Let me introduce myself..

Let me introduce myself. My name is Monty, short for Montgomery.

I'm a six year old Labrador puppy with a love of peanut butter, carrots, apples ....all food. My frequent bin raids often land me in trouble although I can usually win them round with a soulful look. I'm expert at offering my right paw but totally unable to offer my left. My tail has a life of its own and is the cause of frequent mayhem.

I sit wonkily, am very wary of balloons and take my responsibility of barking when anyone approaches our front door very seriously. I live with two cats Charlie and Oscar who I love to snuggle up with. One of my favourite treats is some peanut butter inside my Kong toy. I love Sundays because all the family are here......and I get leftovers from Sunday lunch. I can't help myself...
